About Us
Formed in 1983, Women In Focus, Inc. (WIF) is a group of 17 energetic professional women in Madison, Wisconsin.
For over twenty years, the members have been dedicated to WIF’s mission to support and encourage minority youth to succeed in education.
To raise funds to provide college scholarships, we host our annual "I Have A Dream” Scholarship Ball honoring the vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The Ball is held in January of each year.
As of 2008, our organization has awarded over 190 college scholarships to deserving youth in the Madison community.
In our Literacy Volunteer Project, WIF members meet monthly with single mothers and their children at the YWCA in Madison and present activities designed to encourage families to read. We also apply for book grants and distribute books to parents and children in the community.
Women in Focus, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.
