President's Message
Dear Friends and Supporters:
As the current President of Women In Focus Inc., I am very proud of the legacy we have created over the last two decades. As an organization comprised of diverse professional women, we strive to become leaders in the community. Our mission today, tomorrow and yesterday, is an everlasting commitment to make a difference in the lives of minority youth.
As I look back to that cold January evening in 1986, when we hosted the very first “I Have a Dream” Scholarship Ball, the members and I were not sure if we would be the only supporters coming out that evening. To our amazement and gratitude that was not the case. Looking out into the gathering of support took our breath away. Through the years, your continued encouragement and support has turned this event into one that makes the “DREAM” of providing minority scholarships a reality.
We welcome new and continuing supporters, sponsors and guests to the 2009 ‘I Have A Dream” Scholarship Ball, to be held on January 17, 2009 at the Monona Terrace.
